Here is an attempt to bring back a local forum for the southwest diesel community. Every since the original Southwest Coal Rollers was disovled, there was talk about others wanting to take it over and rebuild it. Although people talked about it, no one ever made a move on it which may prove to be a good thing. Now a few years from the original, which hopefully has allowed all of the drama to die down, here is the new SWCR.
As the site grows, we'll hopefully be able to move away from this cheesy free forum layout into an actual real forum using the vbulletin software. But baby steps first...
Right now, the objective is to hopefully rebuild a good portion of our old community and to bring in new members. As members join, admins will be assigned, and it would be helpful if everyone looked through everything and let me know if their is an issue with spelling or information being incorrect. And while we rebuild, please be patient as we make changes.
Lastly, I nor the admins that will be joining us have time to babysit. So I ask that we keep threads in good taste. Meaning, keep profanity to a minimum (even though its not against the "rules), no personal attacks, and try keeping the BS drama at the door. In theory, the admins shouldnt have to step in and edit/delete posts as you will have free range to talk as you please, but lets face it; its not a perfect world, so don't get upset if something is edited/deleted by an admin.
Thanks Rick

Glad you got it up and running Rick. I think the second go round will be fine. Hopefully we can grow diesel Motorsports in the southwest. We need more local events and in order to do that we need people to show up AND compete! Don't matter if your truck is super fast or not, it's fun to get involved either way.

Glad you joined Damian! I think this time it'll definitely be a success since we can learn from what happened last time.. But we'll see what happens...
And heck yeah, if we can get this going we can definitely help grow the diesel motorsports scene especially here in NM. We just need the the forum to get people together then we can start doing dyno days and track days. And as Tuff Truck gets closer, I'll be talking with Sean to help use that to promote the club and in return help promote his event. But fingers crossed everything starts progressing!

And as of right now, me and Damian (dbushlb7) are your moderators so if you have a suggestion or a question let us know. We should have one or two more moderators joining the site here in the next few days to help with the duties

This may just be me but the high contrast setup kills my eyes too quickly. I may be getting old though lol.

Haha I agree! I had this nice black layout built but it only shows up when your not logged in, then it goes back to white and blue when I log in... Or at least for me....

Yes sir! Joe is going to talk to John about letting us have it... If that falls through, I was thinking we can just build our own and call it swcoalrollers.com or maybe swcr.com
We'll see what happens but I don't think anyone wants to throw any money at it until we know theirs an interest for it, but I'm sure their will be

It would be sweet to get the old site back, but I'm sure it will take a few months for things to really get rolling.

If not we'll probably have to abbreviate the southwest part so we can get an URL. But hopefully it doesn't come to that because the vbulletin license alone is $250.

I don't think the 250 will be a problem. Is that an annual cost?

Its a one time cost so its not that bad. Its when you add tech support at the price of $50 a month it starts getting pricey but I bet we can get by without tech support www.vbulletin.com/vb4-features/
