So lets start planning a M&G for the end of March now... What would you guys like to do? Stick to the usual format of going to eat then go out and play? Maybe we would want to do a meet in the evening so that those who may have to work on Saturday can still make it? Give me your ideas guys... Also do we want these to be monthly? Bi Monthly? Quarterly? etc.
As of right now the meet will be Saturday March 23. Give me some feedback and we'll get some official plans for that day going

I almost always have to work on Sat so my vote is on evening meets. I thought John had tried monthly meets with no success, why not try bi-monthly.

I agree on the bi monthly thing since I think alot of people got tired of the monthly meets. But like I said we'll let everyone have their say in the subject. Its our M&G so everyone should be involved. But we'll probably do them in the evening the working people

Shoot we used to all go to lunch once a week! If people can't make it once a month, they can always try the next month (this would be bi-monthly for them anyway.
IMO the point of the forum and meet n greets should serve a couple of purposes..... First of which would be advancing the sport and promoting it. Guys get in touch with vendors but more importantly share ideas, theories, tips, and tricks and knowledge for all that is diesel. The specific reason I feel that monthly meets are crucial is to aid in the planning of our upcoming local events. Too much gets thrown together @ the last minute when we can't communicate, update, and organize our plans. People are more likely to lend a hand when they have enough time in advance to plan for it and make needed arrangements. Just my .02
Oh and BTW someone has to support the economy @ the local beer establishments, why not us?

We can still do weekly lunches but I don't get out of class until 2. No one wants to do super late lunches....
I'm down for either monthly or bimonthly. Either way I'll be there especially duing the summer when we get some races in. And hopefully we'll get some vendors here soon that way we can promote their shops plus their needs to be some talk about Tuff Truck in the next few months that way we can help make it better than last years.
Waiting til the last minute was the downfall of SWCR last time. We definitely need to plan all meets at least 2 weeks in advance if not sooner. Hence why I chose the end of March that way the word can get out and people can plan accordingly especially if they need to get the day off from work or whatever.
Haha. Since Sean left, the lunch/beer market has taken a downwards turn lol

Bumping this back up... Lets hear some suggestions on what people want... I don't want to have the sole responsibility of choosing where we go...

My vote is Pappadeauxs for some Alligator. Well that may be where we go since you're the only vote on the board so far lol... But I'll second that vote. Next week, if no one elses votes thatll be the official spot and hopefully we can get a semi accurate head count so I can call them ahead of time to let them know we're coming

We still looking at a Saturday for doin this? Currently work 3-11pm and have wed/thurs off until mid April when our new bid takes effect and then I'll have weekends off again working 2-10pm. I'd like to attend the M&G, just might be another month before I am able to. Haven't been to Pappadeaux's, but sounds good to me or any of the restaurants along Paseo.
