The job that pays the bills is being an officer for Albuquerque Police; going on 5 years this month. Prior to being an officer, I worked part time for my parent's construction business and part time for myself doing metal fabrication. Still help my parents from time to time as well as building my own business. I started off fabricating parts for automotive stuff, but for the most part I try and focus on one off gates/fences and artwork.

Just don't make threads about getting a ticket and wanting to know how to get out of it and we'll got along juuuust fine haha. Cervantes rings a bell, think I may have met him. Torres doesn't sound familiar though. I mostly work in the NE (I-25 to Eubank, I-40 north to city limits). I've pulled over a handful of trucks over the years that have had SWCR stickers on them, don't recall citing any of them tho. It's how I first found out about SWCR actually, lol. I'm guilty of racing/speeding/texting from time to time, so I tend to be lenient depending on the attitude of the person when I pull someone over. I remember driving down Montgomery one night on duty and just seeing a thick wall of diesel smoke. I could hear the diesels, but I couldn't see sh*t lol. Finally got thru it and there was a half a dozen trucks that all got on it at the same time and did it again. Pretty sure I had a grin on my face.

I don't "cruise" Montgomerey. Just was at the wrong place @ the wrong time I guess. Ticket got deferred anyway. I don't get pulled over much either really. Long time ago Pat Hernandez (open space SAR) told me best way out of a ticket is to humbly apologize and admit the infraction was my mistake and admittedly careless. He said not trying to tell some BS story and humbly owning up to things and not lying was by far the best way out of a ticket. So far, it has worked every time but once and that one got deferred thankfully. Judge Nakamura don't mess around, more intimidated by her than the Police lol. Well glad to have you on the SWCR site!

JK I haven't been pulled over on Monty or in your area in at least 4 years now

I work at Farm Credit of New Mexico handling the insurance side of things (crop-insurance, life insurance, leasing, etcetera). I also have my own semi which I run at night and days off when needed. I work with my Dad frequently on the trucking/construction side. I really enjoy my office job, but I get more pleasure out of the trucking/construction side.
As a side-note, goingcustom is the man, he put me in check one night in my Corvette while I was doing something I should not have.....

The black vette racing the mustang Montgomery and San Pedro? lol. Small world haha. By putting him in check he means they (drivers) got a little bit of a lecture that soon turned into talking about cars/trucks lol.

Isnt the Z Machine have all of the wiring submerged in a coolant tank because it generates so much heat? I remember their was a little blurb in my ME260 book about it and sort of remember what it was taking about.

I was headed home from the gym and instead of taking the boring way home I opted to stroll down Montgomery. I was cruising minding my own business when a Cobra came up next to me, he kept trying to race as I ignored. Finally I had enough and said screw it, well that is when I met Travis. It was a pretty dumb decision to take the bite of the Cobra. I should have ended up at MDC that night. Talk about a reality check, thanks Travis!

ah, the cobra was black, not your vette. We all do stupid stuff, it's just a matter of whether you learn from it or not. First thing learned, hopefully, look in your review mirror to see if a cop is behind you if you're about to do something illegal, lol. Can't say I condone street racing, but I understand the excitement/adrenaline from it. You guys being respectful/owning up to what you were doing is what got you off the hook. Complimenting my dually once you figured out it was mine was just icing on the cake haha!

It is adrenaline pumping, but it's also stupid! Definite lesson learned, had it been anyone else my CDL would have been history, thanks for understanding my stupidity! I had been in love with the dually since the first time I saw it coming down the Crest road!

Highest non-nuclear temperature thats man made, etc. Its really an amazing machine.
