What do you guys do outside of diesels?
I do a lot of offroading/racing. I bought my first diesel ~13 years ago to tow my off road vehicle (74 dodge power wagon)...and the diesel took over all my attention. A few diesels since then...but Ive pretty much stopped giving my 2 diesels any love..and spend most of my free time/money in the desert.
We currently race 2 trucks. A Class 7S ranger, and a 7 unlimited ranger. The 7 unlimited is new...has an aluminum roush built dry sump 523hp nascar motor, culhane TH400, tubeworks 9", 4" king kong bypass's, 3" King coil overs, etc. Its pretty legit and TONS of fun!! The 7s is more stockish...4.0, 5 speed, Giant beams, 2.5" king coilovers (20" of travel up front, 30" in the back), 9", etc.
Also TRYING to finish my Cummins Ramcharger when time permits. Its getting built to be a prerunner/trail vehicle. It has a VE pumped 12V with a fuel pin, fuel screw adjustments, gov spring, hx35/14wg, edm don morrison injectors, etc. It has a dana 60 front with 4.56's and a 14 bolt rear with a detroit and 4.56's. I have 37" BFG Baja TA's for it on double beadlock wheels. I converted the rear to 64" chevy leaves and the front will eventually get a coil conversion with thuren coils and 2.5" RR shocks.
Anyhow...what else you guys into?
Jeff

Haven't stopped giving the diesels love but they do get little attention. Hence the 2 year engine build on the dodge lol But last year I really got into mud bogging after going with my buddy who has a nice "stock" truck he bogs with. Ending up buying my uncles old 78 blazer which my grandparents bought new back in the day. It was pretty much bone stock until my uncle swapped in a 396 and TH400 into it. Then he grew up and it had been sitting collecting rust and tons of sand in the valley of the engine. So far since I've had it. I've pulled the body cleaned up the surface rust, repainted the underside, new body mounts, rebuilt the motor into a forged 434 stroker which should make around 450-500hp NA. Next on my list is to fix the body rust then 6 inch lift with 37s mounted on Micky Thompson Classic IIs then hopefully a GM 14 bolt or maybe the old D70 that came out of my Dodge with some 4.10s. Then paint and probably a built TH400 by then (if not sooner) I'm hopefully getting ready to start a new DD '71 Chevelle project that I've been dying to do forever and it technically finally got started about three weeks ago when I picked up an LS2 motor in Sante Fe. But thats as far as it'll go for awhile considering any descent 71 Chevelle rollers are going for 4K + and even the ones in bad shape are still fetching close to that. Besides that the only other thing I've got going on is school which kills anything fun I want to do. I'm so close to being done with it though!

My other projects. Love driving up our mountain trails and snow bashing. Get back to my high school roots. My two (now three) jet skis I'm getting prepared for summer lake excursions.

Strip club not exactly a hobby but I have spent enough for it to be a hobby. I want to build a truck like your ranger Jeff but a 1500 or 2500 so when I'm out gauging battery tanks I can fly on the dirt roads.

I play with the semi when time permits, it's no where near how I would like it, but it's a work in progress...

The DOT. Truck is way too loud as it sits with 'straight' pipes. The Jake brakes sound like a helicopter is crashing lol!
